Customer Exposes Olive Garden’s Alleged Tactic To Prevent Them From Taking Home Never-Ending Pasta

After a two-year hiatus, Olive Garden has brought back its famous never-ending pasta deal.

In the article published by Forbes, “The Never Ending Pasta Bowl Menu includes the choice of four kinds of pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, rigatoni, and angel hair), plus five sauces (made-from-scratch creamy mushroom, traditional marinara, five cheese marinara, traditional meat sauce, and Alfredo), plus three toppings ( meatballs, Italian sausage, and crispy chicken fritta).”

The majority of Olive Garden restaurants charge only $13.99 for the deal, with each additional topping costing $4.99. Overall, that’s a pretty affordable deal for the amount of food you get, so what’s stopping customers from taking a bowl home?

One customer has an idea, and they revealed their theory in this now-viral TikTok.

TikToker Isabel noticed a pretty remarkable size difference in her second bowl of pasta.

Isabel laughs saying, “Never ending, but they bring you a smaller bowl the next time.” The caption read, “They know u taking it home.”

Viewers agreed with this theory in the comments section.

“Just started as a server there and I was confused too when I picked up the refill,” a viewer said. “Like oh, small bowl alright then.”

Others shared their own strategies for taking home a serving or two.

“They also def don’t want to waste food! bring a plastic bag and dump it in that, ask for another bowl…THEN ur box,” a commenter suggested.

Apparently, this isn’t a problem at every location. At least, according to one commenter.

“A few years ago I was gonna leave after finishing my bowl and they stopped me and brought me a refill to take home. IDK why they’re weird to yall,” a viewer stated.

Regardless, we all want pasta now.

“God i want olive garden now,” one highly-favorited comment reads.
