Jimmy Fallon loves playing hashtag games on Twitter to share on late night with people I assume do not have Twitter. This week he started a game that has made me realize how precarious so many of my TV show favorites are: the hashtag was #AddAWordRuinATVShow. All it takes to make your favorite shows horrifying is a little wordplay.
It’s Hashtags time! Add a word to the title of a TV show to change the meaning, and tag it with #AddAWordRuinATVShow. Could be on the show!

So simply, yet so devastating. Viewers have such strong associations with the title card of their favorite programs, so even reading a slight alteration makes you imagine a completely alternate world from the one you’ve spent so much time enjoying.
