Parents mean well. What is that famous Internet-saying? “Your parents will compliment you behind your back but talk sh—t to your face.”
They keep it real. Sometimes, they keep it too real. Like when they talk sh—t to your face, but without even realizing it. They’re just trying to be nice and helpful—which makes their diss that much more genuine and savage.
Writer Alanna Bennett recently kicked off a thread asking people to share a time “your parents unintentionally dragged you within an inch of your life.”
Please tell me about a time your parents unintentionally dragged you within an inch of your life. I'll go first: Once in college my mom sent me a care package that was just acne face washes and the book He's Just Not That Into You

Bennett shared her own story first: “Once in college my mom sent me a care package that was just acne face washes and the book ‘He’s Just Not That Into You.'”
Other Twitter users quickly followed suit, and the replies are beyond hysterical.
