Guess what, influencers? Putting your personal life out there for all the internet to see might not be such a great idea. In fact, it might just be a terrible idea.
UK influencer Liana Jade, 24, and her partner Connor Darlington (both popular YouTubers) decided to share their new baby’s name with followers. Koazy (pronounced Cozy).
Now, obviously that was going to get mocked in the comments. You’d think you’d know being an online presence means that comes with the territory. Well, nope.
Liana (@lianajadee) immediately took to Tiktok to defend her reasoning behind this choice of name.

She says in the clip, “People have said we called him Koazy because he was cozy in the womb. But no. It was a name we already had and as I was getting so heavily pregnant, people were saying ‘he’s so cozy in your belly.’
“It confirmed to us that is what we should name him… we were like ‘Oh my God, it’s meant to be,'” adding that “I wasn’t trying to name him anything for a flex.”
“I knew everyone wasn’t going to love the name so I am not going to sit here defending it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But it’s just different when there’s this comment section open on such a big influencer’s video of people, fully grown adults, just sat there slandering my baby’s name.”
“I think it’s quite cruel – and if I had posted that video personally, I think I would have been very mindful of who was being named and how that can have an effect on other people.”
After the initial comments hit her so hard, the response to her crying Tiktok garnered some sympathy.
What do you think about all of this? Does online bullying go too far? Do people who make thier living as influencers need to have thicker skin? Should the sun just explode already and snuff Earth out? Let us know in the comments!
