Kim Kardashian had fans concerned when she uploaded a photo of herself diving into knee-deep water on Instagram.
The vacation thirst trap showed Kim, 43, donning a soaked white top over a black bikini as she appeared to launch herself headfirst into maybe two or three feet of crystal blue water.
Everyone had the same thought about the photo: why is she diving in water that shallow?
A dive into knee-deep water comes with risks — namely, a broken back — and fans were quick to comment on the bold stunt.
“Did you hit ur head when you dove in?” one commenter asked. Another added: “you can’t dive in that shallow ahh water😭😭😭”
Droves of commenters also echoed Taylor Swift‘s diss track directed at Kim. The track, which was released as part of Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department album on April 19, is titled “thanK you aIMee,” the capitalized letters leaving little room for misinterpretation.
Swifties have been spamming “thanK you aIMee” on Kim’s photos ever since.
Their feud began in 2016 when Kim’s then-husband Kanye West sang about Swift in his song “Famous”: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous.” At the time, Swift accused Kim of defending her husband — and it would seem old feelings die hard.
People referenced her infamous “lost earring” vacation incident
A shattered spinal column wouldn’t be the first disaster suffered by Kim on vacation.
A 2011 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians showed Kim jumping into the ocean in Bora Bora and losing a $75K earring. As she sobbed over the lost jewelry, big sis Kourtney Kardashian reminded her, “Kim, there are people that are dying.”
Referencing the now-iconic scene, followers swarmed the shallow dive pic with comments like, “Kim! Did you lose your earring?” and “Did she find her earring?”
But after more than a decade, Kardashian is fed up with the earring talk.
“Ugh, this gets so old,” she said in an interview with GQ. “Any time I’m in water, people will ask me if I found my diamond earring in the ocean.”
The good news? Her earring was found that day after all.
“I don’t know if I showed this on our show, but Kylie [Jenner] found the earring. So, she dove in the ocean, put on goggles, found it, and then she went back and found the back of it. That’s how clear the water is in Bora Bora, so, guys, the earring has been found.”
Thank God for small miracles.
Comments were quick to troll Kim for the risky dive
