It’s unfortunate, but I must report that in the battle between humans and robots, the robots have won. We will all be living in our Matrix pods shortly, plugged in so we can power a giant Roomba in the sky. On the bright side, Artificial Intelligence has a killer sense of humor, as has been proven by the Imgflip AI meme generator, This Meme Does Not Exist. Its AI memes are taking over the Internet during a time when there is already a glut of memes being created by humans.
The generator takes a few classic meme formats and mixes and matches it with word combos that somehow always seem to work. Maybe they’re funnier because we know they’re random or maybe it’s just easy for a computer to amuse a human because humans are stupid. Hard to say!
