Everyone Is Choosing Their “Quarantine House” And It’s A Tough Call

There’s a new game taking over social media that might help you kill a few hours in quarantine because it’s a way to think about quarantine that is actually kind of fun. It’s called “Choose Your Quarantine House,” and all it involves is making a choice about what group of people you would want to be quarantined with.

If you’re alone right now, it’s probably wonderful to imagine being with people. If you’re with people right now, it’s probably wonderful to imagine being with other people. It’s the perfect light mental exercise.

The game seems to have been started on Facebook, according to Know Your Meme, when a woman named Savannah Locke shared a list of six houses with various celebrities listed underneath.

The question was which group would you want to be sitting around drinking wine with for the foreseeable future. It sparked quite a discussion and soon moved to other social media platforms, where people took the idea of “houses” and ran with it.

There are now hundreds of examples all over the Internet and unsurprisingly they’ve inspired quite a bit of conversation. It’s like astrology where you can choose your sign. Even celebrities are playing, though they personally know some of the people in these houses (each other).

There are also houses for literary figures, Star Wars, sci-fi characters, and various historical dictators. Sometimes all the houses are good and it’s too hard to choose, sometimes there’s one horrible person in each room and the choice comes down to potential damage. Have fun with all the possibilities, whatever house you are actually quarantined in right now:
