Over the years, it’s become increasingly clear that the cost of living is constantly on the rise. From groceries to rent, it seems like everything is getting more expensive. As a result, people are finding it harder to make ends meet and are struggling to afford the things they need.
Recently, Twitter user @mrnastynodrama shared a tweet stating, very reasonably, what things “should” cost. It started a (sometimes silly) discussion about inflations and how things today seem so unaffordable it’s almost laughable.
This is what stuff should cost:
Can of pop: $1
Coffee (drip): $1.50
Espresso drink: $3.00
Sandwich: $5
Movie ticket: $10
Phone bill: $30
Internet: $30
Rent (with roommates): $400
Rent (alone): $750
House: $150,000— andrew (@mrnastynodrama) April 5, 2023
