Modern problems require modern solutions.
Maggie (@voss_maggie) recently shared her uniquely modern dilemma on TikTok. There she was, just minding her own business, hanging out on her building’s rooftop—until she realized she was locked out. To make matters worse, none of her friends were available to help.
Panic? Despair? Not for resourceful Maggie.
Maggie — locked on her building’s rooftop — ordered Uber Eats with specific instructions on how to save her
Instead of dialing 911 or phoning the landlord, Maggie turned to a different brand of hero: an Uber Eats driver.
“I got locked in my roof and nobody’s available to come to help me out, so, I ordered Uber Eats,” she says in the video, which has racked up 1.7 million likes on TikTok.

That’s right, she ordered a meal with very specific instructions: “Um, I put in the instructions that you have to just buzz every apartment until someone lets you in and then come up to the roof and let me out.”
The Uber Eats driver pulled through and rescued her from the rooftop — burrito in tow
Cut to the food delivery hero of the day, Jeffrey, who not only delivered her meal but also sprung her from her rooftop trap.
Maggie ended up safe in her apartment, burrito in hand, declaring it a victory.
“Safe in my apartment plus I have a burrito now,” she wrote. “I call that a win.”
The internet praised her ingenuity: “Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.”
This tale of an unexpected rooftop mishap and creative problem-solving earned her rave reviews online, with fans hailing her quick thinking.
And of course, she didn’t forget to reward Jeffrey—5 stars and a hefty tip for the best Uber Eats rescue mission in Manhattan.
