People Are Having A Tough Time Figuring Out This Picture Of A Dog

Anyone feel like they’re going insane lately? Well, looking at this picture of a three-legged dog licking its own back won’t help at all! It’s one of those optical illusions that make you not understand which way is up for a second. Posted by u/Fatchine on Reddit, it looks like a dog who has had their head removed. But is alive. If that makes sense.

Commenters were horrified, saying the dog looks like a character out of Resident Evil. They demanded an explanation for what in the heck was happening:

And they also wanted proof the pup was okay! A few folks offered their Photoshopped “proof” that this wasn’t some Frankenstein’s doggo situation, but if anything, it’s worse:
