TikTokerr @luckyyyyluciano1 recently inspired a debate about “gold diggers” after recording part of a conversation between him and his date at Applebee’s. In the video, his date asks him how much money he makes and continues by saying that taking her to “cheap restaurants” is a deal breaker.
She says, “Yeah, I wanted to ask you: how much money do you make?.” Continuing, “I don’t want to seem like a…you know…like interested in money and stuff but I just wanna come out from the get-go to tell you like, I’m not a gold digger or anything but I don’t go out with broke boys.”
He responds, “I make good enough.”
She went on, “And I know you just took me to Applebee’s, like I get it, maybe you don’t want to take me to the fanciest place on our first date but never again are you gonna take me here.”

Then the man says on the next date he will take her somewhere else.
“Like, Applebee’s is not acceptable. I am not…I am high-end,” she says sipping her drink.
“We’re just getting to know each other, you’re not even my girl,” he responds.
“Well yeah, but, this is dating to marry, right?”
He laughs, “Well, who knows?”
The woman continues, “And if I date, it’s not to waste my time, so I’m not gonna be going out and going to cheap restaurants.” Then the video ends.
The video is captioned, “I should of [sic] just stayed with my baby momma lol.”
In a follow-up video, the woman from the original video says she ended up seeing his TikTok, and she “doubts” they’ll go on another date.

She writes, “Hey, I just wanted to let you know I have already seen the video you posted of me on your TikTok. I think it’s messed up you would post that video without my consent. SMFH.”
He responds, “I posted it by accident sorry. Lol.”
“Wtf how was that an accident?” she replied.
He then asked, “You don’t like how you sound?”
She said, “Well I don’t care really, I just think it wasn’t cool for you to post a 1 minutes [sic] video of me where people are judging my character without knowing the full story or hearing the rest of what I said. You aren’t a gentleman I see. I doubt I’ll ever give you a second date.”
She continued, “It’s not my fault all those broke guys are mad in the comments. And those girls that are happy with a $5 burger.”
“Smh,” he replied, adding, “They want a part 2?? What do you think?? another date??” He got jokes!
Commenters weren’t huge fans of how the woman in the video acted. People urged him not to go out with her again, while others noted what a huge red flag it was for her to say that.
Other commenters said if they liked someone, they wouldn’t care where they went to eat.
Some TikTokers think the woman from the Applebee’s date video is the same woman he called his Baby Momma. So he may have posted this online to brag.
Either way, it seems like the 2 are better off not seeing each other again.
