Certain things just shouldn’t be gifts. For example, an animal is something you need to discuss with the recipient before you adopt. Houses are another purchase where you need to hash out the details with the giftee before buying — if they don’t like it, you can’t just bring the receipt to the House Store for a refund.
Unfortunately, this boyfriend didn’t get the memo. While his intentions may have been good, he went out and bought a house for himself and his pregnant girlfriend — without consulting her beforehand. Surprise, surprise — she hates the house. And now they’re in quite a predicament.
