Bride Goes Viral For Asking Husband If She Can Hug Her Ex One Last Time At Their Wedding

A TikToker who just got married stunned guests—and her new husband—when she asked if she could hug her ex-boyfriend for “one final time” after saying “I do.”

In the video, @mayangkumay shared footage of her wedding reception in Malaysia. A man, who is the bride’s ex-boyfriend, can be seen walking towards the newly married couple.

He stops to offer a handshake to the groom, and the bride then turns to her husband to ask, “Can I hug him one last time?”

Her husband presumably says sure, and then the bride warmly embraces her ex-boyfriend and the two talk for a bit.

People are saying the groom looked upset, but presumably the ex-boyfriend was a guest at the wedding and didn’t show up to crash the event. Also, who needs to ask permission from their husband to hug their ex? It is possible to be on friendly terms with an ex-partner, invite them to your wedding, and also give them a hug without deeply wounding your husband’s masculinity.

Because we all love drama, the video has received over 2.5 million views.

My take? It’s weird to think you need to ask your partner permission to hug someone you aren’t in a relationship with anymore!
