‘We absolutely hate when people do this.’ — TJ Maxx Customer Hides Items In Storage Bin Like A Squirrel So She Can Buy Later

A TJ Maxx customer went viral with over 8.5 million views for sharing her skip-the-checkout-lines hack on TikTok. In the video, the customer hides items such as clothes in a storage bin like a squirrel and it’s nuts so she can come back when it’s less busy and buy them later.

User (taylorannewingate) did not receive quite the support she was hoping for as TJ Maxx and other department store employees who saw the video begged her and anyone else to not do this. Many said that it only makes their jobs harder, and is entirely unavoidable due to the fact that TJ Maxx employees will simply hold a customer’s items at the front if need be.

“When the line is too long at TJ Maxx,” Taylor’s viral video sparked controversy in what you should and shouldn’t do when you need to postpone some items purchase for later.

Viewers and employees of stores such as TJ Maxx were not happy about this “hack.”
