People Are Sharing The Moment They Realized Their Job Was Toxic

No matter our work history, we’ve all had that one job experience that made us go, “Huh, this doesn’t seem to be right.”

TikTok user Lindsay Hanson wanted to know when other users had those red flag moments with their job.

Hanson uses her TikTok account to discuss workplace trends and issues, as well as what it’s like running her own business as a coach.

Many of her posts unearth some deep-seated problems in our workplace culture and one particular post went viral for it.

In the post, Hanson says “Tell me the moment you realized your workplace was toxic.” She goes on to tell how she asked a colleague to go to lunch with her and he said he couldn’t because he didn’t want people to see him taking a lunch break.

Dang.

This person’s boss contacted them while they were giving birth to ask for a report that was due. (No pun intended.) The boss also asked if they were coming in the next day.

Barbie’s boss refused to call them by their preferred name — only referring to them by their birth name.

This one may take the cake, though. This person’s daughter was kidnapped and their workplace threatened to fire them because it “sounded a bit dramatic.”

Jesus.

In the comments, the TikTok user made sure to let everyone know the daughter is safe and three years old now.
