Handing your car off to a stranger is always a little weird. Even when I valet park I’m suspicious they’ll be too hard my my sweet ’04 Civic.
While most of the time I’m sure your mechanic is going to simply fix your car and give it back, there are always a few out there who give car doctors a bad name.

This was the case when Tiktok user Rique (@euqjr78) dropped his car off for service. He dropped off his car for service, then saw the mechanic driving HIS car at a nearby McDonald’s.
Now, while Rique’s tone makes it seem like he is very suspicious of some shady behavior, this isn’t that uncommon. Mechanics tend to drive the car to figure out exactly what’s wrong. However, using up precious gas isn’t exactly welcomed.

The comments are on both sides of the fence. Some think this is normal behavior and some think Rique is correct to be suspicious.
What would your reaction be in this situation. Even if you thought they were in the wrong, would you do something about it? I would’ve brought it up when I picked the car up. Maybe at least get a free oil change out of the situation.
