Is this the shortest pizza delivery in history?
We think this delivery driver found the laziest customer ever. It’s honestly impressive.
It happened in Iceland, where a TikTok from @dominos_iceland showed a worker delivering a pizza — to someone who literally lived across the street from the restaurant. (Scroll to the end for the full video.)
The text read: “When a customer orders a delivery across the street.”
No joke, it looked like the shortest pizza delivery in history. The driver just had to walk across a parking lot. Easy!
The sheer audacity was impressive, especially because as one commenter pointed out, the brief delivery significantly added to the bill.
Others admitted that they (or family members) had made similar orders. No shame, we’ve all been there. Sometimes you just don’t want to put shoes on! (And in fairness, it’s probably cold in Iceland.)
Others pointed out that the person might have a good reason for doing this. After all, not everyone is capable — for whatever reason — of walking to the nearest pizza joint.
Hey as long as the person tipped well, it’s all good.
If you’re curious, here’s some pizza trivia for you: The first pizza delivery was made in the late 1800s, to the Italian Queen Margherita of Savoy.
She and her husband were visiting Naples and she was sick of the hotel food. So the queen ordered a pizza, which was considered a peasant’s meal, from a nearby eatery.
Naturally, the chef cooked one up special — in this case, he used tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil to resemble the colors of the Italian flag.
He delivered it himself to the queen. And the pizza, the Margherita, was named after her majesty.
