People are always trying to go viral on TikTok. It seems like the best way to do it is to have a crazy story to share. Make sure it’s genuine, though because the minute anyone thinks it’s fake, people will call you out.
Take this story from popular TikToker Quenlin Blackwell for example.
TikToker Says She Mistakenly Bought $100,000 Couch
Quenlin Blackwell (@quenblackwell) recently posted a video of herself crying uncontrollably while explaining her potentially fake story.
@quenblackwell I cant inhale.
In the video, she explains that she had to pull over her car after noticing a $100,000 charge on her card. “I’m going to throw up,” she says.
She explains she accidentally put the offer in on a couch but says multiple times that she was joking even though she went through the steps of entering the card information.
Some Commenters Are Calling B.S.
Quenlin didn’t share many other details about the situation like where she purchased the couch from or what kind of shape it was in. She also didn’t share details on whether or not she attempted to cancel the charge or return the couch. She also says she had to pull over, which means she was buying the couch while she was behind the wheel. Something smells fishy.
Another Commenter Noted That She Must Have A Lot Of Money If The Purchase Wasn’t Flagged Or Blocked Automatically
People were conflicted in the comments, many calling her out for making up the story. Although we don’t really know for sure.
So, Who Is Quenlin Blackwell, Anyway?
Quenlin Blackwell is no stranger to viral fame. She was originally known on Vine under the username @quensadilla for her beauty and comedy videos. then she effortlessly transitioned to TikTok once Vine went under, now having nearly 8 million followers.
Blackwell also has a well-known friendship with Diplo. In fact, she revealed to her fans in 2020 that she was living with him saying, “I live with Diplo right now, and he fully supports my endeavors.”
Diplo was quick to deny rumors that they were dating after fans speculated. Her tweeted, “OK so I rent one of my properties to Quenlin.” He then added, “Her social media is sarcastic and chaotic and I can see you can get a twisted idea but there is nothing but a friendship between us.”

So, given that Quenlin is known for her “sarcastic and chaotic” humor on TikTok, maybe commenters who doubt there’s any truth to her story about buying a couch for $100,000 are on to something.
I’m sure we will know soon enough. Hopefully there’s a follow-up video with her showing off the purchase.
