TikToker @han.walls was tired of the awful taste of vodka when it’s not mixed with anything. So she came up with a creative solution to help make it taste better. Or at least just remove the bad taste.
In an attempt to remove the taste, Han pours Tito’s Vodka through a Brita filter.
Vodka isn’t so bad when it’s mixed with something or followed by a chaser, but drinking it straight has a rather gross taste to it. Here’s Han’s solution:

In the video, she says, “This is a Brita water filter,” as she presents it to viewers.
Then she pulls out a bottle of Tito’s saying, “That is vodka.”
“Now a little birdie told me that if I combine these two, it’s a dangerous game,” she says, explaining that apparently, the Brita water filter removes that horrible alcohol taste.
Once she heard this theory she decided to test it out herself. Hence, the TikTok video.
After all of the Vodka makes it through the filter, she poured it into a cup and does a smell test.
“Shut the—,” she says as she smells the liquid. She even takes a whiff of the unfiltered Vodka to compare the results. You know, for science.
Han finally takes a sip of the vodka, ends up down the entire cup, and says “I’m screwed.” Even though she never said it worked, the video implies the results were positive.
Commenters seemed to like the idea. One TikToker said, “Brita water sales rn,” followed by the chart with upwards trends emoji.
Others Had Some Fun Suggestions
But there were some skeptics in the comments. One user referenced another TikTok trend where people mixed balsamic vinegar with sparkling water to make a “healthy cola” which didn’t exactly live up to the hype.
So, Does It Work?
In a follow-up video, she shares her final results: “It tasted like water [but] still had a little bit of Tito’s taste,” so it helped a little, but there was still some noticeable vodka taste.

To conclude, it may help a bit, but don’t expect the taste to be gone completely after pouring it through a Brita filter.
