Ah, the vagina. A mystery portal into the unknown. Despite the world’s fascination with this wonderful internal sex organ, very little about the non-sexual side of vaginas is openly discussed. That means a lot of people with vaginas think totally normal things about them are freaky and alarming.
Or, on the other side, they don’t know when something is wrong. If you’ve been hesitant to jump into the vagina feet first, come dip a toe with this little explainer about the crotch-bleaching properties of the vagina’s natural juices.
Basically, a healthy PH balance in the hoo-ha is usually slightly acidic. Everyone is different of course, but a good mix allows for the kind of bacteria you want to exist in there without problems. If your discharge is clear or slightly opaque, like egg whites, you’re doing good. And did I mention discharge is normal? Yes, it is, whatever Ben Shapiro and his wife might think. Your vagina gets wet, it is an open orifice in your body and stuff comes out of it.
Why are we talking about this right now? Mainly because a TikToker named Alyssa Cochran-Caggiano, or @ulissuhrose, shared her underwear story on her account, setting off a big discussion about the amazing vagina’s bleaching properties:
@uhlissuhrosePlease duet this with your pussy bleached underwear so I don’t feel alone. ##underwear ##WhatsPoppin ##ThrowbackSongs ##QuickRecipes ##foryou ##fyp ##wap♬ original sound – uhlissuhrose
She starts by saying, “If you don’t have a vagina, you’re going to be very confused by what I’m about to say. Is no one else completely terrified by the bleaching properties of a vagina?”
She then shares pics of her underwear, which she says ARE CLEAN, showing how the crotch of all of them has been bleached out.
Here is the outside of a pair of black underwear, and the inside:
A few more examples:
Now, if this info is freaking you out, know that the bleaching effect isn’t just from corrosive discharge boiling away inside you. The discharge was likely exposed to air in her laundry basket before being washed, and the effects of oxygen brought the whole chemistry experiment home.
And it’s not just Alyssa. Twitter user @simsimmaaz also started a vagina bleach convo this week, though it’s unclear if she was inspired by the TikTok or it’s just the time for humanity to have this convo:
The fact that Vaginas can bleach underwear has always been fascinating to me lmao

Maybe it doesn’t matter if this remains a genital secret, but some of the comments show how many people want to talk about this and how many people have kind of sad perspectives about their own bodies because of the lack of open discussion about them:
can’t believe i’ve really seen posts calling women nasty for having discharge or discharge stains. by other women 🙃 like, i just used to laugh cos i was like wow, why are you acting like you have a barbie pussy loool

my dad recently noticed it and was like 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴 “morgan needs new underwear” and i was like “um are you talking shit because if those bitches don’t have holes idgaf” and my mom said “see? it’s literally natural leave her alone” 😂😂😂😂

Like my friend said earlier….People don’t realize how systemic misogyny really is

I just want to add to stay away from pads and tampons that contain bleach, pesticides, fragrance, dyes, and more ! Can cause cramps, makes your period longer , and travels to ur blood stream. Remember most of these products CEOs are MEN! (L.) is a great brand

I remember this girl on here made this misogynistic comment that was basically shaming women whose vaginas were acidic and I’m like girl that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be tho🙃

Yup. Same with my mom…and we can’t even blame our mothers cause they were taught even LESS

It’s weird coming on this thread and seeing women who shame other women for the natural ph and process of their vagina. It’s ok to admit your ignorance without tryna talk shit about others lol to all the queens being open-minded & willing to educate & be educated, thank you 💕

The vagina is acidic. That’s just normal and healthy. Everyone’s vagina is also different..
If you wear liners
Don’t wear dark underwear
Or pre wash your panties before putting them in the laundry basket you probably won’t notice itYou also could just not have a balanced PH

Don’t feel stupid. They don’t teach us this in Sex Ed. We spent so much time on Wet dreams and dicks which are far less complex than Vaginas.
Everything I learned about my Vagina I had to learn on my own

Yea that’s what I do too

This reminds me of when miss flow came the first time. Those commercials that said having blood in pee could be a sign of cancer were coming on all the time and I cried, thinking I had cancer.

You learn something new every day. Also know that if your underwear isn’t bleached, that’s all okay. We are all okay.
