Since the start of the pandemic, there’s been a very major, and obvious, shift in America’s workforce. Many people either lost, quit, or changed jobs. Others found new passions throughout the pandemic and switched their career paths entirely. Additionally, something about going through a pandemic has made people appreciate the little things a bit more, paid time off (PTO) and work benefits included.
On the other hand, some who reaped the benefits of stimulus checks decided there was no point in going to work at all, and so the labor shortage began. There was also those who realized how valuable their labor truly is, and some are taking a new approach to how they go about choosing and leaving their jobs, and how loyal they’ll be to their employers.
In that spirit, a TikToker by the name Antrell (@techbyantrell) recently went viral for a video of him discussing his exit strategy at his now-former job. In a text overlay of the video he wrote, “Using all my PTO then quitting the day year end bonuses come out.”
His caption read some good advice for someone planning to quit their job: “Gotta get everything you deserve before you head out”. Antrell carried out his plan with confidence, and for good reason. According to a comment, he’s already found new employment.

The comment section had three debate parties: Those who commended Antrell for his strategy, others who announced they were planning on or did the same thing, and those who explained it wasn’t a plausible option at their workplace.
