Wendy’s Employee Mocks Customers Who Ask For “No Salt” On Their Fries

Fast food workers are calling out customers who make “healthy” modifications to unhealthy orders on TikTok.

The trend started when TikToker Will (@whyareyouherebozo) decided to record a video while on his shift at Wendy’s. He appears to be dancing while working at the drive-thru window, with the text overlay reading,

“How customers feel saying ‘no salt on the fries’ after placing a $50 Wendy’s order.”

Will reiterates his point in the caption saying, “Like girl, don’t even worry about that [Diet Coke.]”

The video mocks customers making last-minute healthy modifications to their orders to make them “healthier.” Will questions whether these changes make a difference.

Many commenters seem to agree with Will. Here’s what they said:

One commenter said, “It baffles me how much people spend at these awful fast food places”

“At [Chick-fil-A] people always order frosted lemonades with diet lemonade that cancels out the, like, 70% of the cup that has ice cream in it,” wrote another viewer. Will then responded by saying, “I’m saying. Like at this point, take diabetes and enjoy life.”

Other commenters ponder if these customers ask for no salt for dietary purposes. Many theorize that asking for no salt is because it will guarantee fresh fries.

“It’s so they get fresh fries, not for a diet,” someone said.

“They do it so they can get fresh ones lol,” said another.

In response, Will reveals that asking for no salt, or even extra salt, doesn’t really do anything because fast food employees, rarely prepare fresh fries for every individual order.

“We just re-dip them in oil, so it’s really fresh,” he said.

It seems that this is a real tactic for serving fries, as many McDonald’s workers have also admitted to this.
