Have you ever fantasized about quitting your job in a grand and dramatic fashion? I think it’s safe to say that a lot of us have, but few actually have the guts to follow through with it.
Well, not the women in this viral TikTok clip! She recently went viral for making her biggest quitting dreams her reality. The video has since been deleted, but we’re here to walk you through it.
She captioned the video, “If you’re thinking about quitting, do it.”
She holds up a phone connected to the store’s intercom system while her manager scolds her off-camera.
“We’re not doing this. Clock out. Put the phone up, clock out, ‘cause we don’t do this here at this store,” the manager said to her while she figured out what she wanted to do.
Instead of following her manager’s directive, she clearly and firmly speaks into the intercom phone.
“Fuck this job and everything else that comes with it,” she said.
The manager sighed her name and tried to take the phone back.
“Put up the phone and let’s go to the back,” said the boss (and to be entirely honest, I kind of feel for the guy).
The TikToker refuses to listen. She just smiles and says “Fuck this store” once again.
People on TikTok cheered the move.
“She like ‘we don’t do this here’ NO YOU don’t do this here, ma’am I will,” one user write in the comments. “But why you look so innocent at the same time,” said another person, adding a laughing emoji.
People adored the TikToker’s totally calm demeanor. They figured she would have been freaking out, but nope! Zen moment for that worker.
“I’m scared of how calm [she] is like,” said a comment.
Another person said, ““Lmaooo them intrusive thoughts was winnin baby.”
Others on TikTok agreed that she shouldn’t clock out before quitting. “I’m not clocking out AND coming to the back, imma get my last lil coins,” someone else noted. “Like baby I already quit. I’m not going to the back to get a lecture,” another chimed in.
But mostly, people wished they could do the same. “I wish I could do this and be just as calm as her,” said a TikTok user.
