If you watched Season 8, Episode 3 of Game of Thrones on Sunday night, there are a lot of thoughts you may have in terms of Jon Snow and his hand in helping defeat the Night King.
Many felt Jon Snow himself should have done more to end the war and ice the NK. Others were pretty damn happy that it was our girl Arya Stark who finally laid him to rest in icy pieces.
Many were left puzzled by one scene, however: Jon Snow screaming in a dragon’s face.
It was a huge running joke on Twitter after the episode aired.

Reddit user u/Applesoapp decided to go back and rewatch the scene though, looking for some clues as to why Jon (ahem, sorry, Aegon) would risk certain death screaming at Viserion.

Jon screamed at the undead dragon to distract it so Arya can run past and kill the Night King. The undead dragon was protecting the entrance to the Godswood.
Watch it again, you can actually hear him scream “GOOOOO – GO – GO”.
10 seconds later the scene you can see the hair of a White Walker flying up when Arya sprints past the group of White Walkers.
Jon once again was ready to sacrifice himself to kill the Night King.
If you rewatch the episode, it’s not entirely clear whether or not Jon was screaming “go” or if he was just frustrated and screaming at the dragon because he was preventing Jon from literally leaving the one confined space in Winterfell that he was standing.
In all honesty, it could be possible that he saw Arya running and wanted to distract the dragon from knowing she was there, and maybe get the attention of White Walkers, too. And, Viserion was blocking the entrance to the area where Bran was seated—so the Night King could ensure victory.
It could be possible that Arya ran out of the Winterfell castle, and when Jon was seated behind the rocks, he saw his little sister running to protect their brother. At that moment, Jon may have realized he needed to create a distraction so that Arya can protect their family.
And, it seems that others believe that Jon was yelling “go” at the dragon.

Viserion at the entrance to where Bran was, stopping Jon from getting past. Jon sees something… starts yelling.
Everyone: Jon thought he killed the dragon by yelling at it… Doofus.

After my 4th rewatch of the #GoT Season 8 Episode 3 aka #TheLongNight I noticed that Jon yelling at the dragon at the end has subtitles [YELLS] but when I turned up the volume I heard "Go! Go! Gooooo!"
I think is he saw Arya and understood he needed to create a distraction.

If Jon was actually helping Arya—I wouldn’t be surprised, as the two have had a close-knit relationship since Season 1 and are the boldest members of the Stark family. However, I hate the idea that people want to take away from Arya’s iconic kill.
