If you spent the majority of your young adulthood with your nose buried deep in the spine of every Harry Potter novel and consider yourself to be somewhat of a Potterhead, you’re probably aware of much of the sordid trivia that surrounds the popular series.
However, we’re willing to bet that you haven’t heard about one theory in particular that deals with wizard plumbing—or lack thereof.
Brace yourselves, because this may come as a bit of a shock.
We all know Harry Potter, the beloved boy wizard who attends Hogwarts and fights off the dark lord Voldemort.
However, there are many things about the wizarding world that we don’t know.
In fact, the popular fan site Pottermore recently informed us that before Hogwarts adopted muggle plumbing, magic folk would literally sh*t themselves and vanish their excrements with a charm.
Hogwarts didn't always have bathrooms. Before adopting Muggle plumbing methods in the eighteenth century, witches and wizards simply relieved themselves wherever they stood, and vanished the evidence. #NationalTriviaDay
