Tumblr Thread Challenges “Scam” Calling Lab Grown Gemstones “Fake”

If you’ve ever purchased jewelry, you know how expensive it can be. Particularly, diamonds. It’s widely known that much of the value we place on diamonds is completely manufactured. The business is sort of a scam and we all fell for it. The things we do for love.

When my fiancé told me she wanted a lab-grown gemstone on her engagement ring I was blown away that this was even a thing. After some research, I found out that it’s totally legit. It’s literally the same thing, just ethically sourced.

When I hear people scoff at the idea of lab-grown gemstones, I’m gonna show them this Tumblr thread that breaks down why they’re not “fake” just because it was artificially grown.
