People Are Realizing That Airbnb Sucks—And They’re Roasting The Heck Out Of It

Folks, it’s time to admit that Airbnb is bad.

Because is it being shouted from the rooftops across Twitter.

The rental service is being dragged online as more and more people have realized Airbnb is now comparable in price to a hotel, and there’s no review system or crazy hosts popping in on you in the bathroom.

But they’re also a part of the housing crisis across the U.S., as landlords realize they can make more money off of Airbnb guests than tenants.

Prices have gone up, Business Insider reports, partly because Airbnb has been practicing tax evasion through legal loopholes that prevented them from being taxed as hotels. Receiving some pressure and crackdowns in certain cities has led to higher service fees and “taxes,” though how much is going to local government is vague.

Most people aren’t mad about tax evasion or hoarding livable homes. They’re mad because Airbnb is too pricey for what it provides and it’s hard to even know what you’ll be paying until you check out.

A hotel is very clear, and you can leave your towels on the floor without getting a one-star review. Though you should pick your towels off the floor. And tip the maid.

But in the meantime, enjoy the Airbnb slander:
