The nationwide protests that have erupted in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by police officers are the culmination of centuries of racial injustice in America. That injustice has of course been baked into the legal system, making the prospect of getting justice for those wronged by officers of the law a difficult and maddening prospect.
Want to protest for change or use your voting power? Well there are rules and laws that exist to complicate that too.
On Twitter a person who goes by @Dark_Tesla broke it down in a helpful thread that demonstrates just how many loopholes exist in the American justice system and why there’s so much that needs to be changed.
