apologize like your parents, how parents apologize, parent apology

“Apologize Like Your Parents, Go”—37 Tweets

When I was growing up, I never heard an apology from either of my parents even when they were clearly in the wrong. It was like they saw saying “sorry” as a sign of weakness or something. I always figured that was how all Boomer parents were and that younger parents are different, but this Twitter thread by @flstinifaerie proved me wrong.

They wrote “apologize like ur parents, go,” a few days ago, and quickly went viral, racking up over 50K likes and 20K replies from people whose parents don’t know how to admit they’re wrong.

Weird how we were all raised by the same mom and dad.
