Eve Marie was on a Southwest Airlines flight when she was asked to cover up her outfit. According to the flight attendant, Marie’s dress was too revealing due to its low-cut neckline and if she did not cover up, she would be forced to leave.
Marie went to Twitter and uploaded an image of herself covering up her outfit with a black blanket.
She then went on to blast Southwest airlines in a series of tweets.
@SouthwestAir I am FULLY clothed, with pants that reach my ankles. Is it a problem that my breast are larger, or my butt is bigger that it doesn’t fit “ YOUR standard”??? If this is some sort of “policy” then shouldn’t it be the same across all SWA flights?

@SouthwestAir the plane was literally stopped and you threatened me to be booted off if I couldn’t put a sweater on?? Not to mention this was my connecting flight & the previous had no issues on my apparel.

She also called out the airline’s employees, who Marie overheard speaking poorly about her outfit.
@SouthwestAir I’m calling out all the flight attendants on flight 32 leaving Dallas love field today to Tulsa Ok, who were in the back gossiping about my attire before departure. What an embarrassment to your company. I feel completely discriminated against.

And brought up the humiliation she had to go through while in front of her child.
@SouthwestAir I’m a Dallas Native, A-list member, companion pass holder, and rapid rewards holder. I spend a minimum of $60k a year using your credit card and you guys humiliate me on the plane with my 7 yr old son, threatening to remove me off the flight for improper dress code

According to Southwest Airlines’ policy, passengers are prohibited from engaging in “lewd, obscene or patently offensive behavior, including wearing clothes that are lewd, obscene or patently offensive.” It does not elaborate on which types of clothing they consider “lewd, obscene or patently offensive.”
As of this writing, Southwest Airlines has not commented on Marie’s grievances.
