Mega-rich billionaires Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Jeff Bezos are all a part of a new space race for the elite. People have expressed concern that their sudden eagerness to leave Earth is caused by climate change and that billionaires are planning on living in space. However, there are somehow more problems with billionaires living in space than them leaving us to burn.
It’s no secret that billionaires are widely disliked for hoarding their wealth while the poor get poorer. People have even made a Change.org petition to ban Jeff Bezos from coming back to Earth. The petition already has over 153k signatures.
A thread on Twitter by user, @sim_kern, explains the many problems with billionaires living in space. The astronaut experience and living conditions are simply too harsh.
