People Are Sharing Things That AREN’T Racist But FEEL Racist (30 Tweets)

The topic of racial inequality has come to the forefront of conversation in the United States over the last couple of years.

Whether it’s due to the folks who’ve captured police violence against people of color (George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery) and share it on the Internet, the ensuing Black Lives Matter movement, or a combination of all of the above plus just a generally more divided country, people who had an easy time ignoring it in the past can no longer in all good conscience do so now.

White people have to learn to think about how their behaviors affect POC, even in subtle ways.

So when Twitter user @abcdrih asked “what’s something that ISN’T racist but still FEELS racist to you?” it was like a crash-course for non-POC on exactly how they come off to people outside their own race.
