Head Football Coach of Mississippi State University Mike Leach recently asked his Twitter followers an unusual (for him) question: “If you could know the truth behind any mystery, which mystery would you choose?”
Unsurprisingly, many of the responses trolled or questioned Leach, asking “why did Texas Tech fire you?” or “why are you a Trump supporter?” (the answer to this second question is obvious! It’ll keep him rich.) Several others had to do sports in general, like “why did the Seahawks pass the ball” (a reference to Super Bowl XLIX) and “Why Georgia chokes when it comes to bama?” or cracked jokes like, “Where all my missing socks are after they get put in the dryer?”
But mostly, people replied with mysteries we are all familiar with and which true crime sleuths have been obsessing over for years and decades. Who killed JFK, JonBenet Ramsey, and Jeffrey Epstein? What’s up with Area 51, and what happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370? After having watched the new season of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix, I also really want to know what happened to Rey Rivera and that French aristocrat guy who killed his entire family (spoiler alert!)
