Belle Delphine might be a marketing genius, but the folks who are buying and DRINKING her bathwater are anything but.
The cosplayer and gamer, who has 4.2 million followers on Instagram, recently caused a stir when she announced she would be selling her bathwater.

“Bottled while I’m playing in the bath ^-^ This really is bath water.. disclaimer: This water is not for drinking and should only be used for sentimental purposes.”
The bathwater, which sold for $30 a bottle, immediately sold out. And now, we unfortunately get to discover where all that water went.
YouTuber Pyrocynical ignored the bath water’s warning label, choosing to drink it on camera for his fans. “It’s so salty,” he said, sniffing the liquid. “That’s definitely been in a bath, 100%, that is rotten, that is stagnant water.”
Pyrocynical then gulps the water, before explaining: “Thank God we have free healthcare over here because I’m going straight to the doctor’s after this video. I feel really sick right now.”
In an article for Spectator, Charlie Nash writes about his experience purchasing and consuming the water that Belle Delphine soaked her bum in.
“I could tell it wasn’t just tap water due to the murky appearance, and a strange smell which was emitted after breaking the seal that brought me close to gagging,” Nash writes.
Even after almost gagging, Nash still decided to drink the water. Why, Charlie? Is breaking this very important story really a reason to make yourself sick?
“The water had a light, sweet candy-like taste with traces of salt, and my stomach started to hurt just a few minutes later,” Nash continued.

In a recent piece for Rolling Stone, EJ Dickson gets into detail about exactly what makes Belle Delphine such an Internet sensation.
“Delphine’s success is not all that surprising — the only thing the internet loves more than a hot, half-naked gamer girl, is a hot, half-naked gamer girl who’s expert at trolling,” Dickson writes.
“Why is Belle Delphine so popular? Well, there are two answers to this question. The first is that she’s a hot girl who takes her clothes off online — a winning formula for any female aspiring influencer. The second, and more complicated, answer, is that Delphine capitalizes on — and, arguably, knowingly exploits — a number of internet-based female sexuality tropes.”
Laugh at Belle Delphine all you want, but she’s smart AF and is filthy rich off of thirsty lonely gamer boys. She knows EXACTLY what she’s doing, and I honestly kind of respect it https://t.co/cTmAGu7FbA

Call Delphine whatever you want—a feminist hero, a savvy businesswoman, or a troll—but please, please, do not drink her bathwater.
