“She Wants And Deserves A Trampoline”—Man’s Quest To Get His Wife A Trampoline Goes Viral

Grand gestures—you love to see them. And even though it might be more difficult to make those grand gestures to your loved ones during COVID times, there are still ways to be creative.

One wholesome story of a man’s journey to get his wife a trampoline is making the rounds on Twitter, giving folks something to smile about. I mean, this guy is so earnest in his desire to get the trampoline. It’s inspiring.

He begins by explaining that his wife cannot know the money put aside for the trampoline exists:

“It has to be secret. I’ve never been able to keep a secret before (usually due to continuity goofs and lack of deceptive experience). I’m a professional student who brings in very little from internships. She works full time. We both are essentially 8-6 workers. She’s earning decently and I’m earning much less AND SHE WANTS AND DESERVES A TRAMPOLINE.”

I love how he writes that. It’s so emphatic.

Anyway, he writes that his wife has talked about wanting this trampoline for years and that he can’t take her to the trampoline park anymore because of COVID-19. So he wants to make it happen. NOW.

“It needs to happen,” he writes. “She wants a trampoline, like most folks want a car or luxury jewelry/bag/thing.”

Then he goes on to describe himself in this completely hilarious and self-effacing way, saying he’s “not super bright” and “like the hulk. Lots of ability. Must be directed. Misses the details.”

But most importantly, this guy wants his wife to be surprised and excited: “it must be totally as a surprise; fireworks-wow-Wut moment. I want it to just appear in the yard. She deserves that.”

This guy has basically invigorated all of Twitter with his grand plan to have a trampoline appear magically in the dark of night to make his wife extraordinarily happy.

I hope this guy’s wife’s trampoline dreams come true!
