Ah, another year, another viral question for people on the Internet to argue over, trying to figure out who is right and who is stupid. The 2019 version of “the dress” is already upon us thanks to Lady Gaga and the Golden Globes. Gaga showed up on the red carpet looking absolutely flawless in a gorgeous gown. And, to make it even more perfect, she dyed her hair to match her dress (SO Gaga!)

It turns out, her dress was a hat tip to Judy Garland, who made the original version of A Star Is Born in 1954, the movie that Gaga is nominated for at the Globes.

And, while Gaga looks stunning, the Internet is slightly confused by what color her dress really is. Some say purple, some say blue, some have no idea at all.
What is Lady Gaga’s dress color?
Dark or light blue? pic.twitter.com/lrS46sGrIQ

It’s periwinkle, which is a color in the blue and violet family. So it’s a mix of both…

I would say it is a pastel shade of periwinkle blue with a hint of lavender.

If you were to ask me, I think it’s periwinkle—but, I’m no expert. I’ll let the fashion moguls of the web fight this one out.
