On April 15 at 11:27 a.m., Twitter user Hunter Harris alerted us to something very important: A-Rod’s Instagram Story.
Alex Rodriguez (AKA A-Rod) has been under scrutiny lately, as well as his *maybe* fiancée, Jennifer Lopez. See, for the past month or so, the two have been teasing us with their relationship status.
First, there were reports that they had called it quits. Then, J.Lo posted a TikTok filled with cryptic messages and clues.
Now, the two are coming clean with their relationship status, telling — of all places — TODAY.
In a joint statement, the two said:
We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.
Now, back to A-Rod’s Instagram Story, because it’s clear this is a guy in pain, and we really feel for him.
On Instagram, A-rod uploaded a video of a table filled with photos of his relationship with Lopez.
In the corner, he tags her Instagram account in a tiny emoji heart.

The kicker: Viewers hear Coldplay in the background. That’s how you know it’s bad.
Of course, the Twitter detectives started deconstructing what was on the table.
Someone pointed out it had obsessive vibes akin to one Helga Pataki.
The announcement shouldn’t be much of a surprise with all the context clues happening recently.
Just four days ago, J.Lo posted an Instagram image without her engagement ring.
And you know how much celebrities LOVE to show off how much money they carry on that *one* finger.
