26 Celebrities Pleading With Fans To Self-Quarantine And Protect Others From The Coronavirus

We live in a country of individualists who hate being told what to do. We’re also in the middle of a health crisis that can only be eased by people doing what they’re told and avoiding infecting each other with COVID-19 by staying home and social distancing.

Some people can’t stay home because they need to work. Others are defiantly refusing to stay home because…reasons. Getting sick to own the libs? Showing they’re a free thinker by going into respiratory failure? Proving they’re strong by infecting their parents? Everyone has an agenda.

While these folks might love thumbing their nose at government and Center for Disease Control recommendations, many of them could potentially be convinced by a celebrity to do the right thing and practice social distancing. So we must give a shout out to the celebrities telling folks to do just that.

A number of big stars have taken to social media to tell their fans to give hospitals a fighting chance so they don’t overwhelm medical personnel trying to save lives with limited resources. These are the people encouraging others to do the right thing, and we salute them.

“So I talked to some doctors and scientists. It’s not the easiest for everyone right now but the kindest/healthiest thing we can do is self-quarantine and not hang out with people over 65 and in large groups. I wish I could see my parents and grandmas right now but it’s much safer to not so I don’t get them sick in case I have it. I’m hanging at home with my dogs. I love you world, we’ll all get through this. Trust me, I talked to God —she said we’re gonna be ok.”
