Chris Pratt’s Marvel Co-Stars Step-Up To Defend Him After Being Called “The Worst Chris”

There was a moment in pop-culture history when Chris Pratt was a beloved celebrity. His goofy-relatable personality and union with ex-wife Anna Faris gave us lots of quality, wholesome content. We all remember the interview when Pratt proved he could braid long hair, right? So charming.

However, we are a society that turns on people, and turns fast.

Within a couple years, Pratt went from lovable goofball and charismatic leading man to… the worst Chris.

We all know the Chrises: Hemsworth, Evans, Pine, and Pratt.

For a bit, their likeability seemed universal, until we learned Pratt attends an anti-LGBTQ+ church and ended up defending it after Ellen Page called the church out.

Every once in a while, there will be a new push to swap Pratt with another famous Chris. For a while, we thought it may be Chris Messina — the under-the-radar Chris with solid project choices. Unfortunately, that never stuck, even though Messina deserves the honor.

Recently, Pratt hate reached an all-time high when writer-producer Amy Berg posted this now viral tweet:

And it went exactly as you might expect.

In fact, Pratt — who has not said who he’s voting for in 2020 — has been called out so much for supporting Trump Newsweek had to fact check the claim.

Pratt has also gotten backlash for other social media scandals. One Twitter user brought up how he got rid of the family cat because, in his words, “…my wife and I want to start a family and we ABSOLUTELY CANNOT have an animal that sh–ts all over the house.” Eeep.

After the Pratt hate brewed and boiled for a bit, his Marvel Cinematic Universe coworkers rallied around him.

The internet, as it does, gave the support a good ol’ heaping of side-eye.
