Chrissy Teigen Accidentally Revealed The Sex Of Her Baby In Her IG Stories

Chrissy Teigen shares a number of personal things online with her followers. I’m sure there is some stuff that remains private, since we all need a little privacy.

But overall she is a generous queen, sharing everything from what it’s like to be a celebrity, what a COVID test looks like, and everything about her boob implants. Now she’s sharing something even more intimate: the process of growing and birthing another human being.

Teigen and her husband John Legend have two children, Luna and Miles, who were both born via IVF, something else Teigen has discussed. They had difficulty conceiving in the past, so this third pregnancy was a big surprise. Teigen recently had her breast implants removed and was tested for pregnancy then, but it was too early to show. Soon after, it did.

The surprise pregnancy seems to be very welcome and exciting, but there are some challenges Teigen is facing to reach a safe delivery. She talked about it on Instagram in a story she then posted to Twitter:

Teigen says that she is now on full bed rest until delivery because her placenta “sucks.” Her words, not mine.

“My placenta sucks,” she explained. “It’s always been kind of, um, the bad part of my pregnancies. With Luna, with Miles — it just stopped feeding him, taking care of him, I was like stealing all of his food because I was getting huge, but he wasn’t getting big at all. So, he had to come out early and Luna had to come out early. I was induced both times.”

She continued, “Anyways, it’s super weak, um, that’s so weird because the baby is really, really healthy and he’s big—OOPS—I’m stupid. Anyway, um, yeah. So, it’s growing beautifully, everything’s good. I’m feeling really good.”

She confirmed with a caption on Insta that she had indeed accidentally revealed the baby’s sex, writing, “hahahaha might as well tell you.”

Teigen’s message is really more about how she is taking care of herself and the baby, because that’s ultimately much more significant.

“But, my placenta is really, really weak, and it’s causing me to really bleed a lot,” she explained. “So, basically, it’s just pretty high-risk. … This poor thing has been through so much already. We just have to get my placenta healthy again and that means not moving. So, I’m on complete and total, ‘Don’t get out, except to pee pee,’ bed rest. I just wanted to share that because I tell you guys everything.”

She certainly does. And fans appreciate it:

These are the kind of low-key gender reveal parties we need right now. No more fires.
