Parents don’t have it easy. To get their children to the point where they can think rationally and take care of themselves takes years. They first have to shepherd their kids through a messy decade or two involving a litany of terrible and mortifying experiences that make them question everything, including birth control.
It’s not something a parent will often admit but at one time or another they’ve all thought about how much easier life would be if they hadn’t burped out those needy dependents.
Luckily the anonymity of the internet provides those overtaxed caregivers with the perfect forum to let out all the buried feelings and traumatizing experience that they should really be talking about with a therapist.
So when a curious Reddit user posed the question “Parents of Reddit: What was the worst thing your kid/s ever did that made you momentarily wish you didn’t have kids?” the answers spewed forth like an undigested dinner.
