People Are Sharing The “Impressive” Things That Don’t Impress Them Much

Apparently, people like to brag a lot about stuff that isn’t that impressive to most.

Have you ever had a friend or family member who couldn’t shut up about their fancy, new car or about how many people are following them on Twitter? What about someone who exclusively shopped at high-end stores and thought that their ever-growing collection of Chanel purses made them special?

On Reddit, folks are griping about the stuff that does not impress them despite supposedly being a status symbol or indicative of wealth and privilege.

Chances are, if you’re been bragging about something pricey, people are rolling their eyes behind their back.

1.

“People who brag about excessively expensive items. Sometimes spending extra to get a good quality product is worth it, but your $800 Gucci cotton t-shirt is just unnecessarily wasteful.” — ablondedude

2.

“Limousines. As I kid, I used to think that was the sign that you made it. Now I realize you just need $95 dollars.” — I_Liked_WaterWorld

3.

“People with a lot of memorized knowledge, but who are incapable of critical thought.” — YourFriendJanellys

4.

“Having a high social media following.” — TheNew-Watchdog

5.

“I enjoy movies, tv, music etc, but I never understood why some people practically worship some celebrities. It’s worse when the celebrities are famous for just being famous.” — Butterflylollipop

6.

“People who claim they work some unreasonable amount like 80 hours a week. It’s understandable if you own your business, I wouldn’t say impressive, but understandable. But people who are like a middle manager in an office and boast about working ridiculous hours are just bragging about how they let some company that doesn’t care about them take complete control of their lives. Plus they’re usually lying. ‘I work 80 hours a week’ usually means ‘I worked 80 hours in a week one time if you include the time spent commuting.'” — ElToberino

“Very expensive weddings.” — miraq_chuks

8.

“‘Military grade’ anything.” — Certain-Attitude-832

9.

“Sentences so full of academic/professional terms that the average person can’t understand what you’re talking about while you’re talking to those outside your particular field. I find it very unimpressive when a ‘smart’ person decides to not adjust their vocabulary to the people they’re talking to in an attempt to sound smart. If you can’t explain what you’re trying to say in a way that can be understood by those outside the field, you just aren’t that smart or you shouldn’t bother talking about it.” — ApricityAmends
