A photo of a school lunch in California has gone viral and lots of other states have shared their own versions of school meals.
It started with this Reddit post from u/bestoblivion, who said their school lunch included “zucchini, radish, avocado slices, grapefruit, apples in the bag, and a bean and cheese burrito from a local restaurant.”
That lunch from California prompted a number of folks from other states to post their own school meals, too. Here’s a sampling.

So there’s school lunch from California and lots of other states.
During the pandemic, a federal program made school meals free for more than 50 million students. Sadly that funding is no longer there and lots of students are racking up lunch debt.
Hopefully, that situation will improve soon. In the meantime, which state has your favorite lunch?
