Bartending is hard. You need to be able to multitask like an octopus while listening to three different people’s life story at the same time. If you can make it through a full shift without taking a sip or two, you’re a stronger person than most.
There are a lot of ways to be a total dick at the bar. Not tipping, splitting a check 5 ways, or ordering really complicated drinks during a rush are a good way to piss of the person making your drinks.
