Are dudes naturally terrible Instacart shoppers? That was the debate that kicked off recently when Tiktoker @lifewithkimb posted a video complaining about her male shopper. (Scroll to the end for the full video.)
Instacart is “going downhill,” she said, complaining that male shoppers regularly replace her vegan orders without “even looking.”
“Why am I telling you how to do your job, bro?” she asked. “I used to literally do this and you’re telling me you can’t do it? And I only have this problem with male Instacart shoppers.”
“Instacart really needs to get this together. Because I should not be annoyed if I get a male Instacart shopper,” she said.
She added: “I’m so serious when I say that men do not take this job seriously because they see grocery shopping as a ‘female’/‘woman’s’ job and not something they should be doing, which shows VERY CLEARLY EVERYTIME I get an order with a male shopper!!”
TikToker Briana (@thebloomingbab) agreed in a response video, saying, “This thing about male Instacart shoppers is 100% true.”
She gave a recent example where she asked for frozen meatballs, but the shopper refunded it. He also refunded her request for a substitute.
To prove her point that the guy was just being lazy, Briana went to the grocery store the next day. And, lo and behold, they had the frozen meatballs she wanted.
After talking to an employee, she said, “The meatballs were definitely in stock yesterday. And now I’m going to have to be a Karen and go reduce his rating and his tip.”
This sparked a ton of debate in the comments, with some saying that the women were overreacting.
But plenty of others had similar experiences of male Instacart shoppers messing up orders.
Here are both videos, what do you think? Are male Instacart shoppers the worst?
