This server’s pet peeves about rude customers has got the Internet in a tizzy.
TikToker Lizzy Smith (@c0_0l__) went viral after she posted a series of sketches describing her various complaints about customers. (Scroll to the end to watch them all.)
In the first video, Lizzy mocks customers who won’t speak up to claim their food after it arrives.
Seriously, if your server asks “Who had the chicken,” don’t be afraid to speak up! But this server’s pet peeves were just beginning.
In the second clip, Lizzy rips customers who snap to get their server’s attention. It’s incredibly rude, to say the least.
Yeah, don’t act like this. No wonder it’s one of this server’s pet peeves.
In the third video, Lizzy portrays a table of customers who won’t stop arguing over who should pay the bill.
And in the grand finale, she portrays a customer who refuses to accept the fact that the restaurant doesn’t serve sweet potato fries.
Basically, the point of the videos is to show that you shouldn’t be rude to your servers. They’re just trying to do a job, after all.
Lizzy’s videos went viral, with the first one getting more than 3 million views.
And she’s not the only annoyed server. A 2003 survey from Ohio State University showed that nearly half of restaurant workers expressed low levels of job satisfaction.
“I was surprised by how low satisfaction levels were among the employees we surveyed,” said co-author Thomas George. “I expected to have more employees who were at least in the middle range of satisfaction.”
But as anyone can tell you, servers have a tough job.
