TikTok Couples With Big Height Differences Show Their Perspectives Of One Another

A trend on TikTok has got people in relationships looking at one another very differently, and they’re not sure if they like it or not. For couples close in height to one another, it doesn’t make much of a difference, but when one of you is super tall, you’re getting very different views of each other. The trend reveals how different.

Buzzfeed reports that the most popular iteration came from a couple named Austin and Chastin Scott, who are 6’5″ and 5’4″ respectively, though they didn’t come up with it.

All it involves is making a part on the wall at eye level with the taller person, then positioning your camera phone there, pointed down. The shorter person then looks up—and sees what their partner sees. It’s dramatic:

In the TikTok, she bursts out laughing when she sees how her husband is observing her whenever they’re standing face-to-face.

The video got over a million views and soon people started using the sound to show how things were looking at home with their tall baes. It seems to be as startling and disorienting to everyone else. Short people apparently don’t like the idea of their lovers seeing them as itty-bitty even if they like having a boyfriend or girlfriend who is big and strong:

Okay, I want to see the opposite trend, where we put the phone facing up at the eye level of the shorter person. I’m guessing that the taller people won’t like that much either, since under the chin and up the nostrils isn’t a flattering look for anybody.

Or maybe couples should just sit on the couch together tonight and not dispel anymore illusions.
