The great thing about TikTok is that the most random stuff will end up going viral and then find you wherever you are, forcing you to learn far more than you want to about other people’s thoughts. This one from TikTok user @usainball has gotten to Twitter and is making people everywhere aware of an unfortunate fact.
In it, a teenage-looking boy gives the thumbs up with this caption over his face: “Wait till girls find out that guys get bonners when they poop.” He means “boner,” but TikTok tends to flag naughty words:

The TikTok has been view hundreds of thousands of times and caused quite a bit of consternation in the comments.
People are not taking this news well.
People without and without penises both want to know if guys really get boners while pooping, and seem to wish they’d never heard about it all at the same time:

I will say that in most of the comments, it seems like quite a few men are denying this has ever happened to them. Either they want to keep it a secret from the general public, or everybody is built different. Buzzfeed News tried to get to the bottom of the issue by asking an actual doctor,Dr. Jennifer Berman, who specializes in sexual health, urology, and gynecology, so basically that whole area. She essentially says everything is all smooshed together down there, so it could theoretically lead to one thing stimulating the other.
“It’s not typical, but it can happen,” Dr. Berman explained. “It could be caused by increased pelvic floor contraction during vasalva, which means the guy contracts his pelvic floor or kegel muscles that could cause an erection. However, there is no physiological explanation for erections and defecation to happen simultaneously. Straining down can cause hemorrhoids and vascular engorgement and trapping of blood in the penis, but it’s not typical for erections to happen spontaneously during defecation.”
They also found a second TikTok in which a man and his girlfriend reacted the revealing TikTok together and he admitted he gets a semi every time he squeezes one out. He offers to show her next time and YES she wants to see, of course:

Okay, so we know at least two guys who this happens to. That original TikTok should really be called “Wait until girls find out I get a bonner when I poop.”
