A hilarious video of a Wendy’s employee eating fries right out of the kitchen fryer has gone viral on the popular platform, TikTok. Though the person in the video seems to be appalled at this action, it’s not a shocker that a worker with nothing to do and who happens to be standing by fresh fries all day would snag one or two for themselves.
In the video, an employee is being filmed in the kitchen from a table in the dining area. Hand on their hip, this Wendy’s worker doesn’t seem to have anywhere to be, except the fryer. They swagger over to the fryer, take a little look, and pluck a fry out of it.
As the worker is eating the fry, the psychic staring effect (sometimes called scopaesthesia) where you detect being stared at by extrasensory means kicked in and they glanced towards the camera. As the worker turned their head, so did the girl in the video and the clip ends.
The video of the horrible, unacceptable, terrible crime was posted by TikToker alliwalton and received nearly half a million views. Viewers were quick to share some gnarly secrets about the actions of food service workers that Alli, who looked disgusted with a single fry being taken, probably couldn’t fathom.

A caption for the video reads: “@Wendy’s get your employees #unsanitary.” The comment section was entertaining, to say the least. Ex-food service workers had no hesitation sharing their behind-the-kitchen doors horror stories. Many agreed that this was nothing new and that “every place does this.”
