Instagram Model Raises $100K For Fighting Wildfires With Nudes

In case you’re not up to speed on your international news (and no one blames you, I usually am not), but Australia is basically on fire right now.

Bushfires have utterly ravaged New South Wales and surrounding areas, killing 24 people, nearly a half a billion animals, destroying 1,500 homes, and leaving more than 3.6 million hectares of land in ashes.

So yea. Not awesome.

What is awesome though is that Instagram influencer Kaylen Ward decided to do something to help victims.

Ward took to her Twitter and Instagram and pledged to send nudes to every fan who donated $10 to fight the fires. And, in true “please, internet, don’t ever change” style, thirsty bros (and women) flooded her inbox with donations, all with proof that they’d donated.

At press time, almost 10,000 thirsty bros (and women) to be exact. *Does the maths.*

That’s $100K!

Sadly, asking for nudes on IG is a big no-no. Especially for money, so Kayla’s IG is no more

‘My IG got deactivated, my family disowned me, and the guy I like won’t talk to me all because of that tweet. But f*ck it, save the koalas,’ Ward told MailOnline.

Luckily the internet is very much responding positively to Kayla’s, umm, “outside the box” thinking:

With such a positive response, one can only hope Instagram wises up and gives her back her account soon. If not, you can follow her on Twitter here. Twitter lets you do whatever the fuck you want.

Also, if you want to donate to the cause, whether you get n00ds or not, here are eight ways you can do that.
